Portalis
Summary
Portalis is a web-based system that utilizes crowdsourcing to channelling information to social workers (SW) working with the homeless. This has two significant impacts: First, Portalis allows SWs to make informed decisions in managing client cases. Second, it enables individuals who would like to volunteer their services but are limited by time constraints to contribute. This project is a finalist in the 2008 CHI Student Design Competition.
